Clem Seecharan

 

Clem Seecharan was born in Guyana, where he taught at the University of Guyana for some years. He obtained his doctorate at the University of Warwick and currently teaches on the Caribbean Studies programme at the University of North London. His publications include (with Frank Birbalsingh) Indo-West Indian Cricket (Hansib, 1988), India and the Shaping of the Indo-Guyanese Imagination: 1890-1920 (Peepal Tree, 1993) and Indians in British Guiana 1919-1929 (MacMillan).

He was awarded a Professorship at the University of North London in 2002.
