Osman Jamal

Osman Jamal is a noted Bangladeshi scholar who has written widely on South Asian writing.

He has lived in Leeds (UK) for many years and taught in a school in Bradford until he took early retirement. In addition to the translation of The State Witness, he translated another of Shaukat Osman’s novels, Janani, which was published by Heinemann International in 1993.
