An evening with Vahni Capildeo and students from Lancaster’s MA Creative Writing Programmes. Hear the poems of award winning poet, Vahni Capildeo, then listen to brand new work from our creative writing students. This is part of a two evening celebratory event, hosted by the English Literature and Creative Writing Department.

Vahni Capildeo's books include Utter (Peepal Tree, 2013), Simple Complex Shapes (Shearsman, 2015), Measures of Expatriation (Carcanet; Forward Poetry Prizes Best Collection; T.S. Eliot Prize nomination), and Venus as a Bear (Carcanet, forthcoming 2018). She writes a regular report for PN Review; other recent non-fiction looks at cocoa growing in Trinidad (adda, Commonwealth Writers) and ‘microtravel’ (Granta). She is a Douglas Caster Cultural Fellow at the University of Leeds.
