Emma Smith

Emma Smith has a PhD in narrative theory and contemporary fiction from the University of Leeds. She has lectured in post/colonial literature and history at Leeds and Leeds Beckett universities and currently works at the University of Warwick.

Emma Smith holds a PhD in twentieth-century literature from the University of Leeds, specializing in women's and postcolonial fiction and narrative theory. She previously taught literature and cultural studies at Leeds and Leeds Beckett universities, and is also proud to have been a member of the Peepal Tree family, as its editorial assistant, for much of the decade between 2002 and 2012. She was born and still lives in England where she continues to work in Higher Education.
