Emily Brontë had an Imaginarium, a place of fantasy where her work gestated and grew…What is the power of the Imaginarium, and could it be coming into its own today? The acclaimed Peepal Tree Press writers Leone Ross and Jacqueline Crooks, alongside Naomi Booth, will be in conversation with Bonnie Greer. All three will read from their books.
The Ice Migration by Jacqueline Crooks is a collection of stories that move around in time and place, linked by the experiences of the descendants of a Jamaican family of mixed Indian and African heritage.
Leonie Ross’ award-winning short fiction and essays have been widely anthologised, including the Brown Sugar erotica series, which zoomed to number three on the Los Angeles Times Bestseller’s List. Leone Ross is highly acclaimed for her speculative fiction.
Naomi is an award-winning writer and academic whose first novel, Sealed, is a modern sci-fi fable about motherhood and environmental contamination.
Bonnie will be reading from her novel Entropy, which places three Black women in different places and times on a collision course to the truth.
