Kitch makes the Republic of Consciousness Prize 2019 longlist

The Republic of Consciousness Prize 2019 longlist has been announced, and Kitch has made the cut.

Read the brief accompanying review.

Kitch is one of 13 titles comprise the longlist.

"I wish it were 15, even 18," prize founder Neil Griffiths writes, "because then we would have included all the outstanding entries. And yet there is a cut-off point. It’s wrong. It doesn’t make sense. But then neither does a shortlist of six, or an overall winner. In the past two years, the overall winner has been decided unanimously, which makes it easier. That won’t be the case this year."

Unlike most prizes, the ROC Prize supports small presses exclusively, and splits award money equally between the author and their publisher.
