Jacqueline Bishop’s collection of Interviews, ‘The Gift of Music and Song’ has been out for maybe a month now. It collects interviews Bishop has done over the recent years of Jamaican women writers and artists. My copy just arrived last week and I’ve dipped in. Bishop is actually a damn good interviewer. It’s not a skill to be taken lightly. Her interviewees are relaxed and full of insight. It’s a great resource for anyone interested in Caribbean Women’s Writing.
