My recommendation is Ricantations, a collection of poetry by Loretta Collins Klobah. Ricantations is one of those books that must be read at least twice, and digested slowly, each time and marveling at what an incredible story-weaver and world-builder the poet is. This is a layered and gorgeous collection about Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, about myth, landscape, spirit, and culture.
