TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
These terms and conditions govern the sale and purchase of products through our website.
You will be asked to give your express agreement to these terms and conditions before you place an order on our website.
This document does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer (such as rights under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013).
Order process
The advertising of products on our website constitutes an "invitation to treat" rather than a contractual offer.
No contract will come into force between you and us unless and until we accept your order.
To enter into a contract through our website to purchase products from us, the following steps must be taken: if you are a new customer and would like your delivery details to be retained for future orders, you may create an account with us and log in; if you are an existing customer, you should enter your login details; you must add the products you wish to purchase to your shopping cart, and then proceed to the checkout; once you are registered or logged in, you must select your preferred method of delivery and confirm your order and your consent to the terms of this document; you will be transferred to our payment service provider's website, and our payment service provider will handle your payment; we will then send you an initial acknowledgement; and once we have checked whether we are able to meet your order, we will either send you an order confirmation (at which point your order will become a binding contract) or we will confirm by email that we are unable to meet your order, and will refund the full cost of books and delivery incurred.
Products
The following types of products are or may be available on our website from time to time: books and e-books. Books ordered will be supplied either by Peepal Tree Press Ltd. However, orders for e-books can only be placed via third party sellers (Amazon, Apple etc) and cannot be supplied by Peepal Tree Press Ltd from this website.
Prices
Our prices are quoted on our website. We will from time to time change the prices quoted on our website, but this will not affect contracts that have previously come into force. All amounts stated in these terms and conditions or on our website are stated inclusive of VAT (zero-rated at present in the case of books).
Payments
You must, during the checkout process, pay the prices of the products you order. If you prefer to pay by telephone, then call us on +44 113 2451703. Our lines are open 10-3 GMT.
Payments may be made by debit and credit cards including Visa, Visa Debit/Electron, Mastercard, Maestro and JCB. We also accept payment via PayPal. Payments are processed by WorldPay, using their secure servers and encryption technology. Peepal Tree Press does not receive or store your credit card details.
Shipping timescales
Your books will be posted using the method selected by you during the checkout process. As a guide, airmail orders will usually be delivered within 14 days, but are usually much quicker. Orders are not tracked, but if your books seem unusually delayed, please email us straightaway and we will assist.
Shipping rates per book
UK -- First class £2, Second class £1.50
Europe -- £4 airmail NOTE EU sales from the UK are now subject to duty, and your order will be sent duty unpaid, so you will need to pay the VAT and any other handling fees in your country in order to receive the books.
USA -- £8 airmai
ROW -- £6 airmail
We use Royal Mail in the UK and DHL/UPS for overseas.
Cancellation/Returns
You have the right to cancel the contract within fourteen days of your order, or seven days of receipt of the books (whichever is the longer).
