Carl Jackson

Carl Jackson was born in Barbados where he attended Providence Boys’ and Boys’ Foundation Schools. Later he studied at the Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto. He has worked as a career diplomat and currently works in Barbados as a communications consultant.

His first novel, East Wind in Paradise (New Beacon, 1981) was one of the first political thrillers to emerge in Caribbean writing. His second novel, Nor the Battle to the Strong, was published by Peepal Tree in 1997.
