Delores Gauntlett

Her work has appeared in anthologies, magazines and newspapers, including New Caribbean Poetry, Cambridge University Press Literary Series, The Observer Literary Arts, The Caribbean Writer, The Gleaner, the UK Poetry Society’s Poetry News, Kunapipi, Hampden-Sydney Review, Magma, German-Bayswater Textbook, and The Jamaica Journal. 

Her debut collection, Freeing Her Hands To Clap, received special commendation from the National Book Development Council and was a finalist in the Brittingham Poetry Series competition. She received the 1999 David Hough Literary Award from The Caribbean Writer and was a runner-up in the Poetry Society's Hamish Canham Prize, featured in the 2012 Written World Poetry Project for the London Olympics, and inducted into the National Library of Jamaica Poetry Archives in 2023.
