Salvador Ortiz-Carboneres

He has written on Federico Garcia Lorca and Antonio Machado. Among his published translations are collections by Antonio Machado, Miguel de Unamuno and Gabriela Mistral. His translation of Platero and I by Juan Ramon Juminez, 1956 winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, was published in 1990.

Salvador Ortiz-Carboneres taught Spanish language and Latin American poetry at the Language Centre, University of Warwick, and has written and taught a course for broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
