Andre Bagoo

Andre Bagoo is a poet and writer, the author of four books of poems including BURN (Shearsman, 2012), Pitch Lake (Peepal Tree Press, 2017) and a book of essays, The Undiscovered Country) Peepal Tree Press, 2020). The Undiscovered Country was winner the non-fiction category of the 2021 OCM Bocas prize for Caribbean Literature. His next book will be a collection of short stories, due in 2022 from Peepal Tree Press. He was awarded The Charlotte & Isidor Paiewonsky Prize in 2017 and shortlisted for the Ernest Hemingway Foundation’s annual fiction prize in 2020. His work has appeared in journals such as Almost Island, Boston Review, Caribbean Review of Books, Draconian Switch, St Petersburg Review, and The Poetry Review.
