Heather Barker

Heather Barker was born in the United Kingdom. In 2010 she was a finalist in Barbados’ foremost literary prize, the Frank Collymore Literary Endowment, and in 2008 she received the George Lamming Prize for Literary Excellence for the short story “Letter to Dee.” Her work has been published in The Truth About Oranges and Other Works: A Winning Words Anthology.

She has a degree in Mass Communications (UWI, Mona) and an MSc in Electronic Publishing (City University, London). She is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and achieved their professional accreditation, ABC (Accredited Business Communicator) in October 2013, only the third person in Barbados to achieve this.
