Merle Collins is visiting the UK this October to support the one-year anniversary of her book, Ocean Stirrings: A Work of Fiction in Tribute to Louise Langdon Norton Little, Working Mother and Activist, Mother of Malcolm X and Seven Siblings. Merle will be starting off in Leeds, before visiting London and Leicester.

Women Friendly Leeds presents Sisterhood of Stories. Join us for an evening of readings, book stalls and conversations as we celebrate women writers, poets and playwrights from across Leeds, and special guest Merle Collins.

Thursday 10th London UOL, Senate House - 3-5pm
Ocean Stirrings: History, the Sea, and Creative Murmurings in the story of Louise Little, Mother of Malcolm X.
Join Professors Merle Collins and Stewart Brown for a reading and fireside chat about books, writing, research and history. This event is presented by the Centre for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of London's School of Advanced Study and the publisher Peepal Tree Press.
