Mahsuda Snaith, who received a package of Inscribe support as part of the prize for winning the SI Leeds Literary Prize in 2012, has launched her second book. Mahsuda snagged a three book deal after the winning the prize, and her latest, How to Find Home (London: Doubleday, 2019), launched last week at Leicester Central Library on Thursday 23 May 2019.
Her new book champions Britain's homeless, giving them voices, personality, and distinct stories that unfold through her central character Molly. Molly is a homeless twenty-something, who sets off on a journey to Skegness with a troubled young man. Along the way we find out how Molly's ended up homeless.
Mahsuda also contributed to our Inscribe anthology, Closure: Contremporary Black British Short Stories.
On the week of 10 June, How to Find Home will be BBC Radio 4's Book at Bedtime.
