Northern Book Prize 2019 now open

Writers! The Northern Book Prize is open for entries, and we hope that you can submit.

1. Submissions open for the 2019 prize until 18 December 2018.
2. The 2019 guest judges are the absolutely amazing authors Sarah Moss (most recently Northumbria-set Ghost Wall) and Fiona Mozley (of Man Booker shortlisted Elmet)
3. Big Issue North has been announced as the prize's first media partner
4. The 2019 Prize includes new elibigility T&Cs, which include Northerners living outside the North
5. The inaugural (2018) Prize's winning Slip of a Fish by Amy Arnold came out in October and is garnering rave reviews, include a perceptive Sheffield Telegraph review by Anna Caig and a Guardian review, online now and in tomorrow's Review supplement, which compares Amy Arnold's writing to Virginia Woolf's.
