Author Sathari Kam, who writes as Meiling Jin and S. Kam, has published a collection of poems with Pegasus Elliot MacKenzie. Sathari's collection Poetry of the Soul in 8 movements invites the reader to join her on the noble hero's journey. She has also released a new album of children's songs, Footprints in the Forest, which she wrote and produced herself. It can be streamed and downloaded on BandCamp.
Sathari is a member of the College of Healing and a Tama-Do Practitioner. She was born in Guyana and has lived most of her life in London. She has published several books and loves writing songs. She has written a number of musical puppet shows (Tall Tales). As Meiling Jin, she wrote Song of the Boatwoman and contributed to When de Mark Buss: Black British and Caribbean Short Stories (both by Peepal Tree).
