The Guardian has today picked up on an interesting fact: the last three overall winners of the Forward Prize for Poetry (Vahni Capildeo in 2016, Claudia Rankine in 2015 and Kei Miller in 2014) are from the Caribbean. This year, our poet Tiphanie Yanique also won the Felix Dennis First Collection Prize for her collection Wife. British-born, Caribbean-descended poet Malika Booker was chair of judges. We're lucky that we've published books by all four writers over the years!
