Andre Bagoo shares "shelfie", including Cecil Gray's The Woolgatherer

As part of World Book Day, four poets shared their "shelfies" (that is, a snapshot of the books currently ornamenting their shelves) with The Poetry Society.

Among the four poets was Peepal Tree writer Andre Bagoo. Andre's shelfie picks are:

  • Pamela Mordecai, A Fierce Green Place: New and Selected Poems (New Directions, 2022)
  • Cecil Gray, The Woolgatherer (Peepal Tree, 1994)
  • Charlotte Eichler, Swimming Between Islands (Carcanet, 2023)

Speaking of his selection, Andre said, ‘At any given moment, several books can be on the boil but here are a few poetry books, old and new, which I have been enjoying recently.’
