Inscribe-supported writer Lynne E. Blackwood was shortlisted for the Asian Writer competition. Her story appears in the anthology, Dividing Lines, published by Dahlia Books. There will be a launch with Bidisha at Birmingham LitFest this coming weekend and there will be an autumn event in London where she will be reading her story.

SI Leeds Literary Prize-winner and Inscribe-supported writer Mahsuda Snaith was named one of The Guardian's Faces of Fiction 2017.
My Grandmother used to tell me, “It is from story that we learn many lessons in life. Without it, the world would be a terrible place to live in.” Thinking about that, I realise that I have had a love affair with story from as far back as I can remember. It doesn’t matter which persona story takes on – whether oral, on the page, on the wide or small screen, be it a musical or an enactment on the stage, I am there imbibing whatever lessons it has to teach me.
Inscribe-supported writer and performer Adam Lowe joins Presence, a multi-media project in the North-East England funded by Arts Council England. Coordinated by identity on tyne, Presence has developed out of a First World War project, Beyond the Western Front, which researched the contribution of Black, Asian and ethnic minorities in the First World War.
Zena Edwards' poem, written as an evaluative response to stimulus in Kendel Hippolyte's Inscribe workshop on poetry, was picked as the winner for the workshop contest.
