Two Inscribers, Adam Lowe and Jocelyn Watson, were highly commended for the Jericho-Marjacq Bursary for under-represented writers 2018.
The 2018 winner was Carrie Nelson, with runners-up Indigo Griffiths, Dominic Nelson-Ashley, Julie Farrell, Ashley Hickson-Lovence and Jarred McGinnis. The highly commended writers were Adam and Jocelyn, Cathy Mark and Debjani Chatterjee.

Collections in Verse is an exciting new national project, a partnership with Poet in the City and the British Library, using live poetry events and commisions to animate British Library exhibitions in five cities across the country.
The Cambridge Literary Review is looking for submissions on the theme of manifestos - an exploration of, comment on or example of “manifesto" in any style, any genre, any length (though if you are planning on submitting anything over 5,000 words this should be discussed first with an email pitch). The publication is especially keen to see submissions from BAME writers.

This year through nominations by SABLE Lit Mag to The Literary Consultancy some Inscribe associated writers received free tickets to attend the prestigious London Book Fair, that took place 10-12 April at London Olympia.
Staged annually, LBF sees more than 25,000 publishing professionals arrive in London for the week of the Fair to learn, network, and kick off their year of business. LBF also features an Author HQ designed for writers, and a range of opportunities for those wanting to know more about the industry.

I can scarcely believe it was almost eight months ago, on a cold, dark December day when I made a trip I wasn't sure about. I was waist-deep in boxes, packing up my house to move. And the following day I was going travelling for two weeks. Feeling emotional and frazzled, it wasn't the best time for a Christmas party. But then being freelance, I don't often get invitations to these. So I thought, why not?
Entries can now be made to the 2018 SI Leeds Literary Prize, a trail-blazing award for new writing by black and Asian women. The biennial award is now in its 4th edition and has helped support a new generation of writers, including previous alumni Amita Murray, Mahsuda Snaith, Minoli Salgado, Season Butler and Kit de Waal.
