3 March 2019's The Sunday Observer Bookends column ran an #InConversation between Peepal Tree authors Jacqueline Bishop and Shara McCallum, discussing the latter's poetry, absent fathers, and 'passing' as a mixed race Black woman.

A new essay by Jan Lowe Shinebourne has been published on Facebook. In "I'm a product of the sugar estate", Jan writes about Guyana and its history, and its influence on her work. She talks especially of the connections she has with Rose Hall.

The essay originated as a talk given at Senate House, University of London, on 27 October 2016.

Interviewing the Caribbean is an online journal that celebrates Caribbean artists everywhere—and to invite you to participate. Each issue will feature works from Caribbean artists at home and in the Diaspora.

This issue is dedicated to Jamaican novelist Garfield Ellis (1961–2018), Jamaican master ceramic artist Gene Pearson (1946–2018) and St. Lucian novelist Garth St. Omer (1931–2018).
